Questions
Is it real email?
Yes. Your address works like any other email address: people on Gmail, Outlook or any company email can write to you, and you can write to them. PhoneMail just shows it as a chat.
Why do you need my phone number?
Your number is your address, and a text message proves the number is yours. We never call you and never sell or share your number.
Does signing up cost anything?
If you verify by sending the JOIN text, your mobile operator may charge its usual rate for one SMS. Receiving the code costs nothing.
Can I use a normal mail program?
Yes. Sign in to webmail with your number and PhoneMail password to read and send in a classic mailbox view; everything stays in sync with the app.
Where is my email kept?
On PhoneMail's own servers, not with a cloud provider. The only outside service is the text-message provider that delivers verification codes. This page loads nothing from other websites and uses no trackers.
